Prachi Tehlan (Netball)

Prachi Tehlan has played both basketball and netball at professional levels and won various medals during her more than 11 years of active sporting career. She rose to prominence when she captained the Indian Netball Team in the 2010 Delhi Commonwealth Games. It was also under her captaincy that the Indian team won its first medal in the 1st South Asian Beach Games in 2011. Thanks to the sheer number of awards won in a sport that is struggling to achieve recognition in the country, she is crucial to the plan to help Indian netball achieve glory.

Mamatha Poojary ,Kannada fondly known as Kabaddi Queen born in 1986 is an Indian professional internationa lkabaddi player. She is the reigning Captain of the Indian women’s Kabaddi team and has been awarded the Rajyotsava Prashasti, 2nd highest award by the Govt. of Karnataka. On 2nd Sep 2014 she was conferred with the Arjuna Award by President Pranab Mukherjee in recognition of her achievements in Kabaddi. Nisha Millet - swimmer born 20 March 1982, is a swimmer from Bangalore , Karnataka , India . Nisha Millet, and the Arjuna Award winner, was the only woman in the 2000 Sydney Olympics swim team for India. Career Millet started swimming in 1991 at the age of 9 and won her first medal in 1992 at the sub junior nationals. Initially she was coached by her father at the Dolphin club in Chennai. When she showed a lot of promise by winning 4 Gold Medals as a 12yr old at the Senior National Championships held in Goa, her family shifted to Bangalore to focus on her swimming career. She then progressed on to represent India at various international competitions.
